The Arlington of Naples Worship Group Supports Lely Elementary with Gift for Bilingual Library Materials

Naples, FL December 21, 2025 — The Arlington of Naples Worship Group is proud to announce its Holiday Season outreach project supporting Lely Elementary School through a donation designated for bilingual books for the school library. This contribution will help expand access to inclusive learning resources that support language development, strengthen literacy skills, and celebrate the diverse cultures represented within the school community.

Since the opening of The Arlington of Naples, the non-denominational Worship Group has welcomed residents and guests to weekly services, with approximately 40–50 participants gathering each Sunday. Each Holiday Season, the group selects a service-focused project, and this year members chose to support a school close to home. After consulting with Mr. Don Eckert, Librarian at Lely Elementary, the need for bilingual library materials was identified.

“This initiative reflects our community’s deep commitment to education, inclusion, and service,” said Christy Skinner, Executive Director of The Arlington of Naples. “The Arlington Worship Group continually looks for meaningful ways to give back, and this project will have a lasting impact on students and families.”

The bilingual materials will support student language development, enhance literacy skills, and foster a welcoming environment where every student feels valued. The resources also encourage parents who are continuing to learn English to participate alongside their children in the learning process.

“We are incredibly grateful for this generous and thoughtful gift,” said Sharon Wheeler, Principal of Lely Elementary School. “Bilingual books are essential in supporting our students’ academic success while honoring the cultures and languages that make our school community so special.”

“This project truly embodies the spirit of service above self,” added Dr. Gail Cacciola. “By investing in literacy and education, we are helping to shape stronger futures for our students and our community.”

The Arlington of Naples Worship Group extends sincere appreciation to all who contributed to the success of this initiative, including Christy Skinner, Executive Director, residents William Eckstrom, Rita Lee, Dr. Gail Cacciola, Anna Buckman, Herb Fritz, Ruth Palmer, Fred Kouhi, and Belva Abraham.
